Child Protection

At Bromley Baptist Church we want all our youth and children's activities to be places of safety and growth for all those involved. We therefore have a child protection policy, set within the guidelines of the Baptist Union's 'Safe to Grow' policy, that is reviewed annually:

Child Protection Policy

"As members of this church, we commit ourselves to the nurturing, protection and safekeeping of all, especially children and young people.

It is the responsibility of each one of us to prevent the physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children and young people, and to report any abuse discovered or suspected.

We recognise that our work with children is the responsibility of the whole church.

The church is committed to supporting, resourcing and training those who work with children and young people and to providing supervision.

The church has guidelines and procedures covering child protection issues. All workers with children and young people must know them and undertake to observe them and will be provided with information to support them in their work."

All staff, helpers and volunteers are included in the training procedures and are required to have appropriate CRB disclosures. The individuals listed below oversee the implementation of this policy and can all be contacted via the church office.
